The World Languages program at the Dallas College Mountain View Campus is committed to offering Spanish language courses at the beginning and intermediate levels. Our classes are conducted almost exclusively in Spanish and incorporate various aspects of the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries.
Spanish Language Courses at Mountain View
Spanish courses are divided into two tracks: regular courses for non-native speakers without any Spanish experience, and a course for native speakers and students who may already speak the language.
All students, however, are encouraged to take the Spanish Placement Exam (SPE) before enrolling in any Spanish course. This exam will determine the best set of courses for individual students to take. Read more about the SPE on our
Frequently Asked Questions page.
We offer a varied schedule of classes during daytime, evening and online sessions in order to accommodate the needs of every student. We also provide students opportunities to further their Spanish language development through participation in our Study Spanish Abroad Program, the
Spanish Honor Society and the Honors Scholar Program.
