The Sociology program at Brookhaven nurtures civic-minded and socially responsible citizens through an interactive curriculum rooted in understanding social behavior and structures. Employing a global perspective, our program aims to help students and future leaders develop a set of culturally responsive tools necessary to address complex issues of social equity, including — but not limited to — marriage, family, race, class, sexuality and gender. Social work courses are also offered.
