Graduates can apply for Therapist Multiple Choice (TMC) examination. TMC examination has 2 levels of scoring. Scoring the low cut-score would receive Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from credential from National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). Although CRT would make one eligible to apply for Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) temporary license in Texas, employment is difficult. Scoring the high cut-score would allow graduates to apply for Clinical Simulation Examination (CSE) and receive Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from NBRC. RRT credential would make graduates eligible to secure RCP license and practice Respiratory Therapy in all states.
