Radiologic Sciences at Brookhaven

​​​​​The Radiologic Sciences program at Brookhaven will prepare you for a career in health care that allows you t​o make a difference in people's lives. Our faculty draw on their knowledge and experience to ensure student success.

The Radiologic Sciences program at Brookhaven is a two-year, 60-credit-hour curriculum leading to an Associate of Applied Science degree.

Acceptance to the program is determined through a competitive selection process that is based on a point system. The program application packet details the application process, including the point system. By submitting complete application materials, prospective students are expected to be familiar with the application requirements. A class will be admitted to the program every Summer semester (in June).

Accreditation and Affiliations

The Radiologic Sciences program at Brookhaven has been awarded accreditation by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (20 N. Wacker Drive, Suite 2850, Chicago, IL 60606; phone: 312-704-5300). A graduate of the program will be eligible to take the national registry examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). If successful on the exam, the graduate will be eligible to be licensed by the Texas Department of Health as a Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist.
