Accreditation and Affiliations

Dallas College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Our tuition rates are some of the lowest around — especially considering the quality of education you’re getting. The amount of tuition you pay is based on where you live and the number of credit hours you take in a given semester.

Financial aid for online classes is coordinated by the home college you choose when you select and file your degree plan. All of your questions and paperwork should be directed to the Financial Aid Office of your home college.

Rising Star Program

If you are a Dallas County high school graduating senior, you may qualify for Rising Star funds to help pay for this program. The Rising Star program offers academic support services and up to $4,000 for tuition and books if you have established financial need.

Ted Pohrte Scholarship

In memory of Ted Pohrte, a longtime advocate of distance learning, a scholarship fund has been established through the Dallas College Foundation specifically for online students.

Military and Veteran Students

We understand that military and veteran students have unique needs and questions. We’re here to help you every step of the way.

If you’re a U.S. military veteran, the Veterans Affairs Offices at Dallas College can help you complete necessary forms and process certification for monthly education benefits. These benefits can be used for online classes as well as on-campus educational opportunities.

Transfer Information

Many of our online degree plans and certificates are designed for direct entry into the workforce.

However, some Core courses are fully transferrable as college credits toward a bachelor’s degree. Please check the requirements of your transferring institution carefully and talk with an academic advisor to ensure that your community college credits are transferrable to the four-year degree you plan to earn.

The Transfer Services website also offers guidance on the transfer process.

Other Degree and Certificate Options

Dallas College offers nearly 350 career and technical degrees and certificates, plus more than 50 academic degrees. For more information, see a chart of degree plans by location or visit the credit programs home page.
