Additional Information

Applicants must:

  • Fulfill all requirements for admission to both the college and the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.
  • Complete the designated assessment testing process and any required remediation including the state Texas Skills Initiative (TSI) math requirement.
  • Complete the four prerequisite courses in English, Biology, Psychology and Humanities/Fine Arts with a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 or better.
  • Submit a completed admission application packet to the OTA (Occupational Therapy Assistant) admission office at Mountain View on or before the enrollment period deadline. Information sessions are available to further discuss the program's application process. 

Criminal Background Check and Drug Testing

All students enrolled in Health Occupations programs are required by Dallas/Fort Worth Hospital Council member facilities to undergo a criminal background check and drug testing prior to beginning their clinical experience.
