​​​Spring 2021 Nursing Admission Timeline

Now - July 31, 2020

Course Substitution Deadline

Transcript pre-evaluation and course substitutions completed. Please contact the ​Nursing admissions personnel to request the forms and procedures at Mountain View.

Course work taken in and/or outside of Dallas College​ must be evaluated and course substitutions must be approved prior to admission to the Nursing program. 

June 1 - Aug. 27, 2020
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, testing will be offered online only. A webcam will be required to take the test for security purposes. 

You may take the exam through any Dallas College campus or state institution which offers it. The exam must include the same testing items that are required at Mountain View​ (reading, grammar, vocabulary, math, and anatomy and physiology sections). The HESI A2 exam scores are valid for two years. 

Testing score printout must be submitted with application packet.
  • All students are required to set up an EVOLVE account in order to register and pay for the test. Please visit EVOLVE website.

Aug. 28, 2020

All the following items including the checklist must be reviewable and submitted:

  • The application
  • Texas driver's license
  • Social Security card
  • Proof of medical insurance (card)
  • Documentation of Immunizations
  • The following CPR Health Care Provider card is accepted: American Heart Association
  • Physical Examination and Health Record
  • Proof of TB testing results ​

Sept. 28 - Oct. 5, 2020

Interviews will be held for selected Nursing applicants. Potential nursing students will receive an email invitation for the interview. (Please do not contact the school to request an interview.) 
  • Drug screen and background check will be done after you are admitted to the nursing program​
Oct. 12-19, 2020Candidates will receive an email regarding their acceptance or non-acceptance into the program from the executive dean of nursing. 

Due to the large volume of applications, staff/dean cannot provide individual explanations to those who are not accepted. 
Oct. 31, 2020

Candidates must email the executive dean of nursing ​( no later than 5 p.m. indicating admission acceptance or regrets.

Accepted students are registered by the N​ursing program admissions staff and cannot self-register for any RNSG courses. 

Nov. 2020 (tentative)Student Success Camp: Building Better Nurses. Attendance for the two-day camp is required. Please watch for next step notices for updates. This year's session will be presented virtually.
