Vocational Nursing faculty
Stephanie Holmes-Thomas started her career as a registered nurse after receiving a Diploma of Nursing in 1996 from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Lubbock. In 1997, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Texas Tech University’s Health Sciences Center in Lubbock and graduated magna cum laude. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree with an emphasis in nursing management in 2008 from the University of Texas at Tyler.
She has served as a member of the practical nursing panel, writing for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing in Chicago. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and a lifetime member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. She is also a member of the NLN (National League for Nursing).
Her nursing experience includes critical care, nursing management, labor and deliver, emergency nursing, operating room circulation, post-anesthesia care, preoperative nursing, home health and nursing education.
As a faculty member she enjoys teaching, interacting with students and helping them accomplish their personal goals.
