There are two ways to enroll in the Dosage Calculations Workshop. If you are a returning student, you may enroll yourself via eConnect (see below.) Or, you may call 972-860-4715 to register by phone.
- Visit https://econnect.dcccd.edu/.
- Click the "Continuing Education Workforce Training Student Menu" button in the middle of the page.
- Click the "Register for CE/WT Classes and Workshops" link on the left side of the page, under the "Class Information" header.
- Select or enter the following:
- Term: The term you are wanting to attend.
- Campus: BHC
- Course: RNSG 1008
- Click "Submit."
- Select the Dosage Calculations Workshop section you desire.
- Click "Submit."
- Enter the information and follow the steps listed on the screen to complete your registration and submit your credit card payment. The cost of the workshop is $75.
The required textbook is the most current edition of
"Dimensional Analysis for Meds: Refocusing on Essential Metric Calculations," by Anna M. Curren.
At the end of the workshop, you must pass one of the final dosage calculations exams with a score of 90 percent or greater. You will have three chances to obtain this score. Exam scores are valid for two years.
