Dallas College offers ​a wide variety of instrumental and vocal instruction in performance and theory through its Music courses. ​​Ensembles may include jazz, band, brass, woodwinds, strings, percussion, vocal ensemble, madrigal singers and chorus.

Various courses are offered in music theory, appreciation, fundamentals and foundations; MIDI (musical instrument digital interface); sight singing and ear training; commercial orchestration and music arranging. Applied Music courses provide private lessons for voice, piano, strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion, and for orchestral and rhythm sections.
