Sandra Alexander is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and has lived in the Dallas area since 1985. She became the director of the Medical Assisting program at El Centro ​in the fall of 2009.

Employed in the medical field since 1965, she most recently worked as a certified medical assistant (CMA) for Arco Oil and Gas Co. and as a CMA supervisor with the Dallas Diagnostic Association. She ​served as adjunct faculty for Richland’s allied health professions from 1999-2009.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in arts and sciences from Dallas Baptist University and a master’s in public administration (MPH) with an emphasis in health care a​dministration from Grand Canyon University. Sandra is also credentialed as a CMA through the American Association of Medical Assistants.
