Timica Patterson provides instruction and support to both on-campus and distance education students who are pursuing degrees or certificates in one or more of the college's degree programs. She has been teaching online courses in management and marketing since 2003. 

She earned an associate degree in business marketing from Cedar Valley College, a bachelor's degree in applied technology and performance improvement from the University of North Texas in Denton and her master's degree in training and performance improvement from Capella University in Minneapolis. 

She has received many honors, including Cedar Valley Professional Support Staff Employee of the Year in 2000-2001; an instructional development grant in 2004; Cedar Valley's President's Award in 2003-2004; Cedar Valley Excellence in Teaching Award for Adjunct Faculty in 2007-2008; Quality Matters Course Review Certification in 2010; Cedar Valley's Employee of the Month in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2004, 2006, 2010, and 2014; and Cedar Valley President's Leadership Academy in 2016. 

Ms. Patterson is a certified Quality Matters peer reviewer and holds yellow and green belt certification in Six Sigma. She a member of the Texas Distance Learning Association (TxDLA), Texas Community College Teachers Association (TCCTA) and Instructional Technology Council (ITC).
