Marco Ayllon holds a master’s degree in computer science and information technology and a bachelor’s degree in information systems and management, both from Long Island University in New York City. He is working on a doctorate in information technology education and education leadership and management from New York University.
He began working at Dallas College in 1997 as an adjunct faculty member and became a full-time faculty member at El Centro in 2013. Mr. Ayllon has also taught at Texas A&M University-Commerce and Long Island University. He has also worked as a teacher of bilingual speech communication and disorders at Columbia University in New York; as a mathematics teaching assistant at Long Island University; and as a freelance computer consultant.
He holds the following credentials and certifications: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE); Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP); Project Management Professional (PMP); New York teacher certification K-12 in bilingual mathematics and technology; A+ from CompTIA; and an IRS Professional Corporate Fiduciary Preparer Certificate.
