The Boston American Studies Excursion is full of valuable information supporting the History curriculum. Check back in the coming months, or inquire at the
Student Life office, for more information about upcoming Boston Excursions.
The purpose of the Mountain View History Club is to cultivate an appreciation for history in the academic community of Dallas County. To that end, the club seeks to work with local historical institutions to develop a better understanding of local history; to help students connect history to contemporary issues; and to enhance student performance in history classes
(and classes in related disciplines) by offering study sessions and writing seminars outside the classroom.
The Mountain View History Club works with a variety of institutions throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Like the club, these institutions have dedicated themselves to preserving local history and helping students connect the lessons they learn in the classroom to the world around them. Partner organizations include:
Additionally, the club works with other groups on campus to help students realize their full academic potentials. Groups such as the Mountain View Art Club or the Boston American Studies Excursion offer students a chance to experience hands-on learning. The Mountain View History Club hopes to add its own unique perspective to these initiatives and help develop a community of lifelong learners.
