Faculty, Health Professions Readiness
Before becoming an HPR instructor at El Centro in the fall of 2017, Kim was a career and technical education (CTE) health science teacher for eight years for both the Irving and Coppell school districts, where she worked with students interested in pursuing careers in health care. She also taught nutrition to nursing students as an adjunct faculty member at Tarrant County College for two semesters
Kim is a registered dietitian (RD) who worked in various hospitals as a clinical specialist, serving as a nutritional support dietician mainly in the area of oncology. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Originally from Rhode Island, she received a bachelor’s degree in nutritional science from the University of Rhode Island and a master's degree in nutrition from New York University.
