The two-year Dental Hygiene program begins each fall semester in August with a maximum capacity of 20 students. Selection for the program happens through a competitive application process. Refer to the program information packet for application filing deadlines.

Drug Testing and Criminal Background Check
All students enrolled in allied health programs are required by Dallas/Fort Worth Hospital Council member facilities to undergo drug testing and a criminal background check after admission to the program.

Classes for the
Medical Laboratory Technology and
Paramedic programs are held at the El Centro Downtown Campus, 801 Main St.
Classes in
Dental Hygiene are held in the Dallas College Dental Hygiene Center, 1250 W. Mockingbird Lane, Suite 500, Dallas, Texas 75247, just east of I-35, Stemmons Expressway (in the six-story Comerica Bank building).
All other allied health programs at El Centro hold classes in the Downtown Health Sciences Center (formerly El Centro Center for Allied Health and Nursing), 301 N. Market St. in the West End District of downtown Dallas, one block north of the El Centro Downtown Campus.
Parking is available behind the building. Students and community clinic patients may park in non-reserved or “compact car” parking spaces. Please do not park in covered parking or in spots which have a specific business name on them.
