A former student of the Mountain View Art department, Herman Cardona currently works as a Library Associate for the Dallas Public Library. Since the start of his employment in 2015, Herman has worked as an Exhibitions Coordinator, developed the library's circulating collection, created art programming for patrons, worked on archives housed in the library and built partnerships with outside art organizations.
As an Exhibitions Coordinator, Herman recruits local professional artists to exhibit their work in the library's art gallery, the Lillian Bradshaw Gallery. In this space, local artists have the opportunity to exhibit their work. For many, it's their first solo exhibition. With this and other duties held at the library, Herman's mission is always to expand access to the arts for all members of the community.
