Pharmacy Technician, Institutional (Hospital)

Learn about the hospital side of being a pharmacy technician.

You can become a pharmacy technician through a 50-hour instruction program. The program will prepare students to sit for their pharmacy tech certification.

Community pharmacy externships are also available through our training partner, CVS.

The Institutional Pharmacy Technician option – which includes the Community Pharmacy Technician training as its first semester – prepares you for work in hospital or retail pharmacies under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

This option can be completed in two semesters.

The Institutional Pharmacy Technician program is accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP).
