The 2018 Citizens' Climate Lobby — Climate Advocate Training Workshop was held on
Thursday, Feb. 22, at
Mountain View College.
The CCL process is
nonpartisan and based on appreciation, gratitude and respect. The purpose of the workshop is to teach attendees how to create the political will for climate solutions through engagement with their local, state and federal governments.
The purpose of the training is three-fold:
Attendees will learn how to increase student and higher education engagement in the political process using CCL's highly successful and proven methods:
Citizen's Climate Lobby (CCL) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that uses citizen engagement to bring about positive legislative change in state and national legislatures. In 2017, they were the catalyst for 1,653 lobby meetings, 72,721 letters to Congress, 4093 published media articles and 3,247 outreach events.
