RESOLUTION
NOTICE OF ELECTION
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of Dallas County Community College District has previously ordered an election to elect one member of the Board of Trustees on May 2, 2020 in each of the Trustee Districts 5 and 6; and
WHEREAS, Section 4.003, Election Code, requires the Board of Trustees to give notice of the election to the public; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF DALLAS COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT:
Section 1. That an election shall be held on the first Saturday in May 2020, which is the second day of May 2020 to elect one member of the Board of Trustees of Dallas County Community College District in each of the Trustee Districts 5 and 6.
Section 2. That the location of each election day polling place (vote center) is identified in Exhibit "A," which is attached to this resolution. If the County Elections Administrator is required to change the location of any polling place in Exhibit "A," she will report the changes to the Board of Trustees who shall make such changes to Exhibit "A" without further Board action. These polling (vote center) locations have been approved by the Dallas County Commissioners Court and will be published in The Dallas Morning News prior to Election Day, May 2, 2020.
Section 3. That the election day polling (vote center) locations in Exhibit "A" will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on May 2, 2020.
Section 4. That Toni Pippins-Poole is early voting clerk for the May 2, 2020 election. Early voting by mail shall be conducted at Dallas County Elections Department, 1520 Round Table Drive, Dallas, Texas 75247.
Section 5. That the location of the main early voting polling place for voting by personal appearance is the George L. Allen Sr., Courts Building, 600 Commerce Street (Main Lobby), Dallas, Texas 75202. The locations of the other early voting polling places are identified in Exhibit “B.” If the County Elections Administrator is required to change the location of any early voting polling place in Exhibit “B”, she will report the changes to the Board of Trustees who shall make such changes to Exhibit “B” without further Board action. Section 6. That simultaneously with the adoption of this resolution, there is adopted a Spanish version of this resolution.
Section 7. That this resolution shall be published in a newspaper and posted with the Dallas County Clerk’s office and on the Dallas County Community College District’s website, as required by law.
Section 8. That this resolution is effective upon adoption by the Board of Trustees of Dallas County Community College District and that this resolution shall be signed by the Chair of the Board of Trustees.

AVISO DE ELECCIÓN
POR TANTO, la Junta de Síndicos del Distrito de Colegios Comunitarios del Condado de Dallas ha ordenado una elección para elegir a un miembro de la Junta de Síndicos el día 2 de mayo de 2020 en cada uno de los Distritos de Síndicos 5 & 6 ; y
POR TANTO, la Sección 4.003 del Código Electoral requiere que la Junta de Síndicos dé aviso público de tal elección; POR LO TANTO;
LA JUNTA DE SÍNDICOS DEL DISTRITO DEL COLEGIO COMUNITARIO DEL CONDADO DE DALLAS RESUELVE QUE:
Sección 1. La elección se llevará a cabo el primer sábado de mayo del 2020, que es el segundo día de mayo de 2020 para elegir a un miembro de la Junta de Síndicos del Distrito de Colegios Comunitarios del Condado de Dallas en cada uno de los Distritos de Síndicos 5 & 6.
Sección 2. La ubicación de cada lugar de votación el dia de las elecciones (centro de votación) están identificada en el Documento “A” adjunto a esta resolución. Si el Administrador Electoral del Condado considera necesario cambiar la ubicación de cualquier casilla de votación indicado en el Documento “A”, éste reportará los cambios la Junta de Síndicos la cual hará dichos cambios al Documento “A” sin la necesidad de acción adicional por parte de la Junta de Síndicos. Estas ubicaciones de votación (centro de votación) han sido aprobadas por la corte de Comisionados del Condado de Dallas y se publicará en el periódico The Dallas Morning News antes del día de la elección, el día 2 de mayo de 2020.
Sección 3. Los lugares de votación el dia de las elecciones (centro de votación) en Documento “A” estarán abiertas de 7 a.m. a 7 p.m. el dia 2 de mayo de 2020.
Sección 4. Toni Pippins-Poole es la empleado a cargo de la votación anticipada para la elección el día 2 de mayo de 2020. La votación anticipada por correo se realizará en el Departamento de Elecciones del Condado de Dallas, 1520 Round Table Drive, Dallas, Texas 75247.
Sección 5. La ubicación del principal centro de votación anticipada para votar en persona es el George L. Allen Sr., Courts Building, 600 Commerce Street, (Vestibulo principal) Dallas, Texas 75202. Las ubicaciones de otros lugares de votación de orejas se indicado en el Documento “B.” Si el Administrador Electoral del Condado considera necesario cambiar la ubicación de cualquier lugar de votación anticipada en el Documento “B”, éste reportará los cambios la Junta de Síndicos la cual hará dichos cambios al Documento “B” sin la necesidad de acción adicional por parte de la Junta de Síndicos.
Días y horario para votar en forma anticipada:
20 de abril al 24 de abril lunes a viernes 8:00 a.m. hasta las 5:00 p.m.
25 de abril sábado 8:00 a.m. hasta las 5:00 p.m.
26 de abril domingo 1:00 p.m. hasta las 6:00 p.m.
27 y 28 de abril lunes y martes 7:00 a.m. hasta las 7:00 p.m.
Sección 6. Simultáneamente con la adopción de esta resolución, se adopta la versión en idioma inglés de la misma.
Sección 7. Esta resolución será publicada en un periódico y en la oficina del Secretario del Condado de Dallas y en la página de internet de los Colegios Comunitarios del Condado de Dallas según lo require por la ley.
Sección 8. Esta resolución entrará en vigor en el momento en que sea adoptada por la Junta de Síndicos del Distrito del Colegio Comunitarios del Condado de Dallas. La misma será firmada por el Presidente de la Junta de Síndicos.
