[Male Narrator] Yes, the climate crisis is a scary situation. It’s a global problem that requires global solutions. But great news, those solutions already exist. In 2016, a group of scientists joined forces with sustainability expert Paul Hawken and identified 100 activities that we’re already doing that can solve the climate crisis if they’re scaled up globally. Their book and accompanying website, Project Drawdown, has the complete list. Is your future career one of them? If not, could it be? Here are a few of the options: bioplastics, conservation agriculture, distributed energy storage, green and cool roofs, health and education, microgrids, reduced food waste, tropical forest restoration, walkable cities, and water distribution efficiency. Take a look at some of the other global options at drawndown.org/solutions. What you do with your future can have global impacts. Now that’s empowering. And remember, no matter what career choice you make, you can be an advocate for sustainability and resilience in any job or profession. Are you up for the challenge?
