The annual Sustainability Summit is the flagship event for Sustainable Dallas College. Each Summit brings together faculty, staff, students and community partners.​

The event provides an array of opportunities to:

  • Listen to inspiring speakers.
  • Attend engaging breakout sessions and networking opportunities.
  • Engage with 400+ students, staff and the community.

  • Partner with Dallas College​ to promote and support the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Dallas College is committed to becoming an environmental leader within the community by continually advocating  the responsible use of natural, financial and human resources through mindful education and action.

Dallas College Sustainable Activities (Not limited to the following)

  • All campuses and Dallas College facilities participate in a recycling program.
  • Ten percent of the electricity used by Dallas College comes from renewable energy and we’re working towards 100%.
  • Systemwide upgrade to more energy efficient lamps and beginning transition to LED lighting.

  • Brookhaven: Windmill Garden for native plants and pollinators.
  • Cedar Valley: 2016 winner of the Green Genome and the Sustainability Achievement Award; Experiential learning opportunities.
  • Eastfield: Six consecutive years as a Tree Campus USA.
  • El Centro: LEED Lighting and rooftop wind farm.
  • Mountain View: Earned Tree Campus USA in 2016 and Aquaponics lab with three closed loop systems.
  • North Lake: Three USGBC-LEED Silver Level campus initiatives for energy efficiency.
  • Richland: 2016 Champions of Recycle-mania, LEED Platinum Architectural Portfolio.

  • Hosting: Name and logo stated as partner host of the summit "Dallas College 2019 Sustainability Summit, Hosted By..."
  • Editorial: A editorial piece about your organization's sustainability efforts on the event webpage 150-words max.
  • Social Media: Posting on all Dallas College Sustainability Social Media 75-words max.
  • Engagement Opportunities: Ability to speak at the general sessions to all 300+ guests, 1:30 minute max.
  • Branding: Logo or name on advertisement and event marketing materials. (Please submit logo in eps and jpeg or png format.)
    • Logo on social media postings.
    • 464x464 logo on event webpage with company link.
    • Logo on programs.
    • Logo on printed materials.

Gold level: $5,000

  • Engagement Opportunities: Ability to speak at the general sessions to all 300+ guests 45 seconds max.
  • Branding: Logo or name on advertisement and event marketing materials (Please submit logo in eps and jpeg or png format).

  • Exhibit Space: Includes one exhibit table (6 feet long with two chairs) and lunch.

Silver level: $2,500

Bronze level: $1,000
