Amanda Popken is an urban planner, placemaker, community strategist and economic development specialist. AP Development integrates a toolbox of place-based planning and economic development strategies taking public engagement beyond the meeting.
With eight years in Economic Development and six years in Placemaking, Amanda has lectured to university classes and at conferences across the country. She is a LEED Accredited Professional whose projects have won awards from Texas Downtown Association and Greater Dallas Planning Council among others. Amanda earned a Master of City and Regional Planning from UT Arlington. She serves as the council member appointee to the City of Dallas Strategic Mobility Plan Citizen Advisory Committee, is on the Board of Bike Friendly Oak Cliff and is board president of Congress for the New Urbanism North Texas.
