Tip: Store and share your documents and images

Use myPortal to store and share your documents, photos and blog posts.

If you’ve ever found yourself wondering, “How can I share these photos easily with my colleagues?” or “Where can I share information related to my interests or job?” myPortal has an answer for you – your content area in mySite.

My Content is your own DCCCD cloud storage area.

To use My Content, you’ll first need to enable it.

To do so, simply log in to or access your profile from the dropdown menu in myPortal.

Once you’ve landed on your mySite page, click My Content in the top menu bar.

This will begin the process of creating your My Content area.

NOTE: If you cannot see the My Content link it is likely that your account has not been verified. Find out more about the verification process here:

Once the process is complete, you can now access your My Content area and start storing your documents and photos.

Initially, your content area will look like this:

You can click “Create Blog” to start your first blog post or click one of the Libraries on the left hand column to start adding documents to the various document libraries.

Personal Documents – is for documents only you have access to view and edit

Shared Documents – is for documents you wish to share with the entire district

Shared Pictures – is for photos you wish to share with the entire district

Once you’ve clicked on your chosen library, you can add a document to the library by clicking Add document on the page and using the pop-up window to browse to the files you’d like to upload.

As you add content to the site, you’ll also be able to view and add the content from the main My Content page.

To view your content in the future, you can access your content area by clicking the Content tab on your personal profile or clicking My Content from the top menu bar. Both offer slightly different views of the same information.
