The Dallas County Community College District has amazing people demonstrating the highest levels of leadership, commitment, excellence in teaching, innovation and truly outstanding accomplishments in student success. The DCCCD has a long history of recognizing employee contributions and honoring employee achievements with its employee recognition award program. We believe it is always important to take the time, formally and informally, to acknowledge those contributions that truly capture the mission and goals of the Dallas County Community College District in serving our students and community.
Annually, each college/location coordinates the selection process and selection of a location winner for the following awards. A districtwide winner in each award category is selected and recognized at an annual recognition ceremony.
Administrator of the Year AwardThe Administrator of the Year award recognizes outstanding Dallas County Community College leadership; demonstrating exceptional dedication and service to the staff, faculty and students of DCCCD.
Excellence in Teaching Award
Adjunct Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award The Adjunct Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes college adjunct faculty for their excellence and dedication to the teaching profession and creating a superior learning experience for students.
Retiree Hall of Honor Award The DCCCD Retiree Hall of Honor Award recognizes DCCCD Retirees who have made outstanding, distinctive or significant contributions to our college/locations and the DCCCD during their employment and after retirement. Awardees are considered in three employee categories: Faculty, Administrator and Professional Support Staff.

Innovation of the Year AwardThe Innovation of the Year Award recognizes faculty, staff and administrators who have created and implemented innovative programs, practices, partnerships, policies and activities that improve the DCCCD's ability to serve students, DCCCD colleagues and the community.
Jean Sharon Griffith Student Development Leadership AwardThe Jean Sharon Griffith Student Development Leadership Award recognizes a person or team which exemplifies the personal characteristics, leadership qualities and significant contributions to the development and success of students.
Professional Support Staff Employee of the Year Award
The Professional Support Staff Employee of the Year Award recognizes a Professional Support Staff employee who has made exceptional contributions to the DCCCD colleges/community.
Professional Support Staff Part-Time Employee of the Year AwardThe Professional Support Staff Part-Time Employee of the Year award recognizes a Part-Time Professional Support Staff Employee who has made exceptional contributions to the DCCCD colleges/community.
College/Location Campus Awards ProcessThe college/location employee award process is coordinated by a designated location award coordinator. The college/location winners for each award category are eligible to be selected as the districtwide winner for each of the award categories. The names of the college/location winners are submitted to the District Talent Development - Talent Central Office. The District Talent Development - Talent Central Office is responsible for coordinating the districtwide award selection process. Below is a list of awards coordinators at each location:
