Police/Emergency

To contact your campus police department in an emergency or to report a crime:

  • Call 911 from a campus phone
  • Call 972-860-4290 when using a cellphone or noncampus phone

Your call is handled through the centralized dispatch system for all colleges and locations of DCCCD. When contacting police, always identify yourself and the location (college, building, floor and room) that is of concern to you.

(Why call campus police instead of city police? Because the response will generally be faster.)

Hearing-Impaired? You Can Text Police

Students and employees who are hearing-impaired can text their college or location police in the event of an emergency or to report a crime. Send the text to 972-860-4290. Police dispatch will answer you by text.

Safety and Security Information

The DCCCD Mobile App features a quick-dial feature for the campus police. Find out more.
