Business Owners Can Get Loan Information at Free Event

For immediate release - Aug. 17, 2005

(Dallas) - Area business owners can get help and advice about loans during a free program on Tuesday, Aug. 23, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Bill Priest Institute (room 1530B), located at 1402 Corinth St. in Dallas. Participants will meet with active U.S. Small Business Administration lenders who will represent several banks, and potential borrowers will be matched with lenders.

Interested business owners should bring their business plans and financial information - whatever they have available. Jeff Blatt, director of the Dallas Small Business Development Center, will speak, and he also will represent the SBA.

In addition to lenders, business counselors from the Dallas SBDC and the SBA will be on site to assist loan clients and lenders.

For more information, contact Kanora Jackson at (214) 860-5723. The Bill Priest Institute is part of the Dallas County Community College system.
