I set out to descover the secret
Like a scholar, I wanted to know
What nake the words so special,
What's the Spirit of El Centro?

I fist saw the Spirit in students:
Their eyes absobing knowledge
Of subjects they have to learn
And a new life found in college.

The faculty, with gleaming eyes,
Prepared class lessons with zeal;
They wen the extra mile each day
to help students learn and feel.

The staff's determination glowed
In eyes focused on their work,
Revealing humorus, caring ways
Plus a dedication not to shik.

This is easier than I thought
No weary file search or sighs
For the Spirit of El Centro
Is found in El Centro eyes.
