Green Space
Our green space, a longtime landmark
at El Centro, is getting a facelift for
the future. This area on the south
side of our campus is now the site of construction
workers and equipment as we embark upon
a building-for-progress program. The new
student and technology center being
built here will house the college’s
new student center, technology classrooms,
student dining facilities, an art gallery
and meeting rooms. The new two-story complex
will add 26,800 square feet of space to
El Centro and is projected to open in mid-2004.
When construction is completed,
we plan to restore about one-third of our
original green-space look to the area between
our new center and Main Street.
