Reasons for Attending

Students indicate their reason for attending the DCCCD on the Student Information Profile (SIP) form. Approximately 58% of fall 1999 credit students provided this information. Although students are allowed to select multiple reasons for attending, 95% of fall 1999 credit students who completed a SIP form selected only one response.

In general, students attend to prepare to transfer for a bachelor’s degree or for job related reasons. However, Cedar Valley and El Centro College distributions differed somewhat from the district average and other DCCCD colleges.
