Student Academic Standing Summary

On average, 90% of students with a calculated academic status are in "good standing."

Academic standing is calculated at the end of each semester for all students who have completed nine or more DCCCD credit hours. (See https://www1.dcccd.edu/cat0304/ss/pb.cfm for probation, suspension and dismissal definitions and criteria.)

The following shows a comparison of semester end and semester start standings. As expected, a greater percentage of students are without an academic standing at the beginning of a semester compared to the end of a semester. Many of these students meet the nine-hour threshold by semester completion for academic standing calculation.
