DCCCD and Peer Group: Students
Community colleges are to a great extent, reflections of the communities they serve. Given no two communities are identical or two colleges have exactly the same mission, the identification of a peer group for benchmarking purposes is somewhat complex. However, most community colleges have similar missions and Texas colleges are subject to like legislation (i.e. TASP), Legislative Budget Board (LBB) and Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) reporting requirements.
The following table details measures currently reported to the DCCCD
Board of Trustees. Beginning with the 2000-2001 indicator reporting cycle,
the state average and a Texas Peer Group average (see definition below)
will also be provided on each measure. In addition, DCCCD student survey
results from the Noel-Levitz Student Satisfaction Inventory will be presented
and include nation-wide average satisfaction scores.
