Enrollment in flex entry and other less than semester length courses continues throughout the semester and thus, current figures do not yet reflect the total semester. Final fall enrollment data will be provided in the Spring 2002 Credit Enrollment Report. Since continuing education programs have substantial registration activity on an on-going basis2, these data are reported annually in the Continuing Education Indicator Report.
The completed Spring 2001 credit semester is summarized below. Increases since the Spring 2001 Credit Enrollment Report range from 1.6% to 7.8% for contact hours and 1.5% to 6.1% for number of students.

1 Preliminary = Credit data reported prior
to semester completion which does not include all flex entry, fast-track
and other less than semester length courses.
Student counts are duplicated. For example, a student enrolled
at two colleges is counted twice.
2 The 16,000 continuing education students currently enrolled
in almost one million contact hours is likely to grow to 25,000 students
and 1.4 million contact hours by semester end.
