Over 15,000 students enrolled in a continuing education and/or credit ESL course in 1998-99. This represents almost 7% of the estimated county adult population that speaks a language other than English.
Credit ESL continues to have one of the highest completion rates (91%) in the District. In addition, 74% of grades were A, B or C.
District continuing education enrollments increased 6% and credit enrollments
increased 52% over the prior year.
