The Dallas County Community College District provides career planning and job placement services free of charge to DCCCD students (credit and non-credit), graduates, former students, and those in the process of enrolling. Although services may vary among DCCCD colleges, most Placement Offices provide opportunities for students to learn job search skills such as how to establish employment contacts, complete a job application, write a resume and cover letter, and interview for a job.
All DCCCD colleges participate in a computerized job bank which contains full and part-time job opportunities in the Dallas Metroplex. Such opportunities are categorized by the career program areas offered by the DCCCD. All Placement Offices strictly adhere to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Guidelines. Employers listing positions with the DCCCD Job Placement Service must be EEO employers.
In addition to job placement assistance, most of the colleges also offer job fairs/career days and invite employers to recruit and interview on-campus. Some of the colleges may also offer career counseling and access to career guidance computer programs such as SIGI, DISCOVER, and the CollegeEdge.
