- Apply for admission to the DCCCD college that offers the courses you want to take. You can apply online, in person, or by mail.
- Take the ACCUPLACER exam to see which classes you need to take.
- Once you're admitted, go to orientation to learn about the campus, what services are offered, and where facilities like libraries and computer labs are.
- Set up your eConnect account so you can plan your schedule, register and pay for classes, and later view your grades online.
- Visit your college advisor so he or she can help you select your program and courses.
- If you know what you want to study, check the current course schedule to see what's available this semester.
- If it's already the middle of the semester, you're not too late — we also have flex term courses starting every month.
- Once you know what you want to take, sign up for classes.
- Take advantage of our student services, including extras like student discounts on tickets to local pro sports games.
- Visit your college's Student Life office and get a student ID card. It'll be your library card, allow you access to other student services and community discounts.
- Activate your Student NetMail for a free DCCCD e-mail account.
- Check your schedule in eConnect for course dates and times and location.
- Check out maps of your college to find your classrooms.
- Get some pens or pencils and some paper together for the first day of class. You may not need them, but it's better to be prepared!
- Go to class!
