IT ALL BEGINS HERE.

1. Discover all of your options!

DCCCD has something for everyone. We have thousands of courses, including:

  • transfer credits
  • academic degrees
  • career and technical degrees/certificates
  • continuing education courses

Check out our programs for college credit, or our continuing education classes!

We have 7 college campuses and the Dallas Telecollege Online — see which one's closest to you:

2. Take the first steps!

  • Apply for admission to the DCCCD college that offers the courses you want to take. You can apply online, in person, or by mail.

  • Take the ACCUPLACER exam to see which classes you need to take.

  • Once you're admitted, go to orientation to learn about the campus, what services are offered, and where facilities like libraries and computer labs are.

  • Set up your eConnect account so you can plan your schedule, register and pay for classes, and later view your grades online.
3. Sign up for classes!

  • Visit your college advisor so he or she can help you select your program and courses.

  • If you know what you want to study, check the current course schedule to see what's available this semester.

  • If it's already the middle of the semester, you're not too late — we also have flex term courses starting every month.

  • Once you know what you want to take, sign up for classes.
4. Get financial aid!
5. Pay for classes and get ready to start!
6. Get connected!

  • Take advantage of our student services, including extras like student discounts on tickets to local pro sports games.

  • Visit your college's Student Life office and get a student ID card. It'll be your library card, allow you access to other student services and community discounts.

  • Activate your Student NetMail for a free DCCCD e-mail account.
7. Prep for class!

  • Check your schedule in eConnect for course dates and times and location.

  • Check out maps of your college to find your classrooms.

  • Get some pens or pencils and some paper together for the first day of class. You may not need them, but it's better to be prepared!

  • Go to class!
