Eligibility
Criteria
Applicants
are required to be a second-semester DCCCD student and have been
accepted into a DCCCD-sponsored study abroad experience for academic
credit.
Minimum
2.5 GPA
Applicants
must have already completed at least 12 college-level credit hours
at a DCCCD college.
Application
Process
Applicants
must submit:

a completed DCCCD
Foundation scholarship application form
- An
official DCCCD transcript
- a
one-page typed essay including current school experience, future
goals, reason for needing this scholarship, and reason for participating
in this travel/study opportunity
- two
letters of recommendation - one from a DCCCD staff/faculty member
and one character or community involvement reference
Completed
applications should be submitted to the campus location Financial
Aid Office, who will forward it to the DCCCD Foundation. The Foundation
will screen all applications and present them to Dr. McCrary for
final selection. Deadline
For
application: 2nd Friday in March of each year.
Notification to applicants: No later than May 1 of that year.
