Linda Nevius Groves Scholarship

The Linda Nevius Groves Scholarship was created to honor Ms. Linda Nevius Groves, a former employee of the DCCCD Foundation, for her many years of excellent service. Ms. Groves served as Foundation Accounting Manager from 1979 to 1999. The Linda Groves Scholarship is awarded to single parents who are striving to attain their goals in education.

Amount of Award
$500 per year ($250 per semester fall & spring).

Number of Awards Per Year
Varies per available funds.

Designated College
Any DCCCD College.

Source of Funds
Permanent Endowment.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have a minimum 2.0 GPA, enroll in a minimum six credit hours, major in accounting and be a single parent.

Application Process
Applicants must submit a completed DCCCD Foundation scholarship application form to the Financial Aid Office at the college they wish to attend. Applicants must also write a letter of thanks to Ms. Linda Groves that must be included with application prior to award.

Selection Process
The Financial Aid Director at each college will review all applications and submit eligible requests to the Foundation for approval.

Deadline
For application: 3rd Friday in May
Finalist applications to Foundation: First Week in June
Notification to students: Prior to Fall Semester.
