CompuCredit Aspire a mas Scholarship Essay Guidelines

All applicants for the CompuCredit Aspire a mas Scholarship must submit the following to the Financial Aid office at Mountain View College:

        • Complete DCCCD Foundation Scholarship Application form
        • One-page essay describing "How This Scholarship Will Help Me Achieve My Goals"
          -
essays should be written according to the guidelines detailed below
        • One letter of recommendation from a DCCCD faculty or staff member.

Applicant's personal essay must summarize "How This Scholarship Will Help Achieve Their Goals" and should address each of the questions listed below. It is very important that all questions are answered thoroughly as this information will be considered as an important part of the selection process.

• How will this scholarship help you achieve your goals? Please explain.
• What are your educational goals? How do you plan to fulfill them?
• What are you career goals? How do you plan to fulfill them?
• In what college or community organizations are you involved? How do you see this involvement as helping you in your educational and/or career goals?
• How do you plan to coordinate your responsibilities -- family, education, work, etc. -- to ensure that you will meet you educational goals?
