Trinity Chapter of Links, Incorporated Scholarship for Excellence
In 2008, the Trinity Chapter of Links, Incorporated established the “Trinity Chapter of Links, Incorporated Scholarship of Excellence” with the Dallas County Community College District. This scholarship is open to all students; however, preference will be given to African American students who need financial assistance in order to continue their education at the Dallas County Community College District colleges, including Brookhaven College, Cedar Valley College, and North Lake College.

Eligibility
Criteria
The applicant must:
- Be a Brookhaven, Cedar Valley or Northlake College student.
- Be in good academic standing with a 2.5 grade point average or better.
- Must have completed at least one semester of college with a 2.5 grade point average or better.
- Must have a documented unmet financial need.
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours.

Process
Applicants must submit the following to the Office of Financial Aid at Brookhaven, Cedar Valley or North Lake College.
Selection
Process
Phase I – Applicants submit completed scholarship packets to the Office of Financial Aid at Brookhaven, Cedar Valley or North Lake College.
Phase II – Office of Financial Aid at Brookhaven, Cedar Valley and North Lake College will determine the recipients and place the award on the students account.
Phase III – Once the campus financial aid office at Brookhaven, Cedar Valley and North Lake College has determine the recipients and placed the award on the students account then the name of the student and students ID should be forwarded to Anna Mays, Scholarship Chair, Cedar Valley College.
Recipient Requirements
Recipients must maintain the above requirements. Failure to do so could result in a reduction or loss of scholarship benefits.
Deadline
For application: January 2 for Spring, 2009 to Financial Aid Office.
All funds must be awarded by March 31, 2009.
