C. Kirk Nursing Honors Scholarship
The Mary
C. Kirk Nursing Scholarship was established to honor Mary Kirk's many
years service as a nurse. Her career started as an anesthetist during
World War II in the North American theatre. She provided anesthesia for
over 5,000 patients during the remainder of the war. She eventually settled
here in Dallas and established this scholarship to provide financial assistance
to nursing students attending Brookhaven or El Centro College.

Eligibility
Criteria
Applicants
must be deserving students who are majoring in a health professions
field, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and enroll in a minimum of six credit hours
per semester.

Applicants
must submit a completed DCCCD
Foundation scholarship application form to the Financial Aid
Office at the college they wish to attend. Applicant must also be
recommended for scholarship by Nursing faculty.
