John Williams and William Dexter Astronomy ScholarshipThe Richland Planetarium has had two Planetarium Directors in its history: John Williams and William Dexter. Using funds donated by the public to the Planetarium, this scholarship was established by the Planetarium Volunteers of the Texas Astronomical Society of Dallas to honor the contributions of John Williams and William Dexter to the Richland College Planetarium. Amount of AwardUp to $250 per academic year Number of Awards Per Year One per year Source of Funds Donations to the Richland College Planetarium Designated College Richland College only Eligibility Criteria Applicants must be students with a sincere interest in science. Students must have completed a minimum of four credit hours in Astronomy and be currently taking an additional four hours in Astronomy or must have completed eight hours of Astronomy. Students must have maintained a minimum of 3.0 GPA. Application Process Applicants must submit the following to Richland College’s Financial Aid Office:
Financial Aid Office Approval Recipient Requirements Recipients must successfully complete 6 credit hours per semester and maintain a 3.0 GPA or better. Failure to meet these requirements could result in a reduction or loss of scholarship benefits.Deadline For
