Services
for Disabled Students Scholarship
The
Service for Disabled Students Scholarship was established in 1991
by contributions from corporations and individuals. This scholarship
will provide assistance for students with disabilities attending
the Dallas County Community Colleges. The Services for Disabled
Students Council will determine the recipients.

Eligibility
Criteria
The
applicant must:
- be
currently enrolled in a minimum of six (6) DCCCD credit hours
- have a 2.0 GPA with a minimum of 6 earned DCCCD hours
- have
documentation of disability on file with the Disability Services
Office

Process
Applicants
are asked to submit the following to the Financial Aid Office
at their campus
- A completed DCCCD Foundation Scholarship
Application Form
- A
letter of recommendation from a DCCCD faculty/staff member of
the college you are attending
- One-page typed essay describing why you deserve this scholarship,
including a statement of financial need. Essay should include
short and long-term goals.
Selection
Process
The SDSCNCL will determine the scholarship recipients.
