Josephine Jones Memorial Scholarship FundThe Josephine Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to honor the memory of Josephine Jones, mother of Susan Turner, Executive Dean at El Centro College. Mrs. Jones, a well-respected member of her community, contributed countless hours of volunteer service as a Board of Trustee member in New York, a municipal judge in Texas and as a national, state and local officer in numerous educational support organizations. The scholarship will be awarded to female students who are Information Technology majors at El Centro College. Amount
of Award The Information Technology Programs and Systems Support division’s Scholarship Committee will recommend 5 finalists to the Executive Dean of the division. The Executive Dean will interview the finalists and, in consultation with the Financial Aid Director, will determine the scholarship recipient(s). Recipient Requirements Recipient(s) must successfully complete a minimum of 6 credit hours and maintain a 2.0 GPA or better. Failure to meet these requirements could result in a reduction or loss of scholarship benefits.
