El Centro Career Planning Scholarship

The El Centro Career Planning Scholarship was established to provide scholarships for students attending El Centro College who have registered with the Career Information Service Center and actively participates in CISC activities, events, programs, and regular daily services.

$300 per semester (Fall and Spring)

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be attending El Centro College who have registered with the CISC or participating in CISC, and have a minimum 2.5 GPA and must be good standing at El Centro College.

  • All applicants must be registered with the CISC;
  • Must have actively used the CISC within 90 days of the submission of application. Active usage is defined as visiting the center or participating in CISC programs/events, on a minimum of 10 verifiable occasions in a 90-day period before the submission of application/essay;
  • Must submit 100 word Essay - Topic "My Career Goals and How I Plan to Achieve My Goals"
  • Essay must accompany application. 
Application Process
Applicants must submit a completed DCCCD Foundation Scholarship Application to the El Centro College Financial Aid Office.
  • Must submit 100 word Essay on their career goals and how they plan to achieve their goals;
  • Essay must accompany application
     
Selection Process
El Centro College Career Planning Scholarship Committee will review all applications and essays. Winners will be announced before semester begins.
