Dallas Community College Faculty Association Scholarship

The Dallas Community College Faculty Association wishes to recognize deserving students by enabling them to continue their academic careers in the DCCCD.

Up to $300 per semester (Books and tuition - awarded spring semester only)

 Eligibility Criteria

1. Applicant’s official transcripts must indicate a GPA of at least 3.0 in college level course work attempted in the DCCCD.
2. Applicants must demonstrate excellence in all endeavors.
3. Applicants are not required to demonstrate financial need.
4. Students currently enrolled at any campus in the DCCC may apply for the DCCFA Scholarship for spring semester.
5. Applicants must have successfully completed a minimum of 12 semester hours of college level credit in the District (DCCC).
6. Applicants must demonstrate full-time enrollment (12 semester hours) during the semester for which the scholarship application is submitted.
   

Students will submit the following for consideration

1. Completed application form with official DCCCD transcript.
2. Two letters of recommendation from faculty familiar with the applicant achievement.
3. One to Two page essay detailing goals for academic career.

• All submissions must be received by the college Financial Aid Office no later than 3 weeks before the end of the fall semester for the scholarship.
• Members of DCCFA Campus Scholarship Endowment Fund Selection Committee will review the applications and award a minimum of one scholarship on each of the seven campuses.
• Recipients of DCCFA Scholarships must use the funds for books and tuition.
