DCCCD Retirees Association Student Scholarship Program

The DCCCD Retiree’s Association Student Scholarship Program was established to assist full-time DCCCD students who are pursuing the first two years of a 4-year academic degree

Up to $500
(Awarded each regular Spring and Fall semester for tuition and books)

Varies per available funds

Designated College
Open to all DCCCD students who are pursuing the first two years of a 4-year academic degree.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must have completed at least fifteen academic transfer hours with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
  • Applicant must meet the Dallas County residential requirements for tuition.
  • Applicant must also enroll in a minimum of (12) twelve credit hours at a DCCCD college during the semester for which the scholarship is awarded.
  • Applicants are not required to demonstrate financial need.
Application Process
Applicants must submit the following to the DCCCD Foundation Office:
  • Applicants must submit a completed DCCCD Foundation scholarship application form;forms are available in the campus Financial Aid Office.
    (Please write Retiree Scholarship across the top of the form.)
  • One page typed essay clearly detailing future academic goals and future career plans.

Selection Process
Selection is made by a committee of the DCCCD Retiree Association. Winners will be announced two months prior to the semester.
(Student may reapply if he/she maintained a 3.0 GPA. or higher on 12 or more credit hours of course completion per semester)

Deadline
Applicants must submit the scholarship application form and the essay to the DCCCD Foundation Office by the following dates:
Fall semester – First Friday of April
Spring semester – First Friday of October
