El Centro College Math Society Scholarship

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to those students who have shown an interest in math and served faithfully in the El Centro College Math Society.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Student must be a member of the El Centro College Math Society.
  • Student must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher at El Centro College.
  • Student must be enrolled in or have completed a college level math class.
  • Student must attend 75% of math society meetings and activities.
Application Process
Eligible students will obtain a scholarship application from the math society sponsor and submit the completed application along with a recommendation from a math faculty member before the deadline which will be noted on the application.Selection ProcessThe El Centro College math faculty will review all applications and select the top four. The El Centro College Math Society will then review the essay part of the application and choose the top two. 

Recipient Requirements
Student must be enrolled in an institution of higher education the semester the scholarship is awarded.Deadline
  • For application: June 1st to Financial Aid Office
  • Finalist applications to Foundation: June 5th
  • Notification to students: No later than: August 1st
