Call for Partnership
The DCCCD
Foundation is not only committed to providing access to quality education
for our community but also to providing a skilled and educated workforce.
Yet it is only with the help of Dallas County citizens like you that the
Foundation will be able to offer Rising Star scholarships to the young
people of our community.
100% of
all Rising Star donations are for the students. All of the program's administrative
costs are covered by the Foundation and the the DCCCD.

| Rising
Star has already earned the full and uncompromised endorsement of
a number of area leaders, including Dallas Mayor Ron Kirk. In a formal
letter of endorsement, Mr. Kirk says, "The Rising Star program
helps Dallas maintain its economic ranking and reputation as a world-class
community by ensuring a qualified workforce and an educated citizenry." |

Texas
Instruments Incorporated set an early pace for corporate financial
support of Rising Star with a $1 million contribution to help fund
Phase One's implementation in the southern sector. TI Chairman and
CEO Tom Engibous challenged the rest of Dallas to follow TI's lead.
"Building a better Dallas is not just a matter of investing in infrastructure,
it means investing in human capital. Rising Star warrants the support
of business, foundations, and individuals. The benefits will be seen
not only by the scholarship recipients and the businesses that hire
them, but in the economic vitality of the community at large." |
We need
your financial investment in the future of our community by making a gift
to the Rising Star scholarship program. With your contribution, we will
help build a better educated citizenry. Please call our office today at
