Tuition
At a national level, in-state tuition and fees at public four-year schools averaged $6,185 in academic year 2007-2008, up 6.6 percent from the previous year. Price increases have been smallest at public two-year institutions, where tuition and fees averaged $2,361, up 4.2 percent from the previous year. In Texas, the average tuition for two-year colleges was $1,695 in 2007-2008, which compares favorably with the national average for two-year colleges.*
Dallas County Community College District remains one of the most affordable choices for local students. The Rising Star Program alleviates the financial burden for students attending DCCCD by covering the rising costs of getting an education today and tomorrow.
